Rainworth
Mark and Julie himsworth
Meeting every Thursday evening and starting at 7.30pm we are led by Mark & Julie and encompassing new Christians as well as those who have been on the journey a little longer.
We look to meet in each other’s homes around the village. We are currently studying the Book of James using the study aid ‘Life Lessons from James’ by Max Lucado. In addition to our study and discussions we try to organise a meal or social event every few months to include those members of our families who can’t always make it to every meeting. They extend a warm welcome to anyone living in the Mansfield area who attend SFCC and who would like to have that extra midweek fellowship. Together, they enjoy praise and worship, bible study and interactive discussions and fellowship on a social level too. They see meeting together like this as being fundamental to the spiritual growth and well being.

Although our current group of ten is based in Ravenshead most of us travel in from surrounding villages. We are a mature group of Christians, overseen by Hugh and Karen, and our Thursday meeting from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm will generally include a time of Bible Study and Prayer as we share Life together in the Body of Christ. As such our members expect to contribute towards the dynamic of the group by hosting it, by leading the Bible study or participating in the discussion, and in many other ways.
Our Life group begins with light refreshments and conversation. We also enjoy a quarterly meal out together, and other social events from time to time.

bette spademan
Bette Spademan leads this group which takes place every Wednesday afternoons. The group meets weekly in Blidworth and consists of mainly older members of the Church but their youthful outlook and enthusiasm is a key characteristic of this lively bunch. There are around 15 members, who take it in turns to lead the each week. They love to sing, study the Bible and social events are always eagerly anticipated.
